About Us

Walnut Cove, North Carolina

Just plain good furniture.

The Just Plain Country Store is a small furniture store at 405 N Main St in Walnut Cove, North Carolina. We offer plain, country-style solid wood furniture — consoles, vanities, benches, coffee and dining tables, desks and bookshelves — built new to order and shipped free across the United States. We don’t sell antiques or used goods.

Why plain

Good country furniture never needed decoration. A sturdy table, a bench by the door, a shelf that holds what it should — simple shapes and honest wood are what make a home feel settled.

Every piece we offer is built new in solid hardwood, so it’s strong on day one and can be oiled, repaired and passed down.

What we build

Consoles, vanities & record stands — farmhouse and live-edge consoles, sideboards, TV stands, record stands and bathroom vanities.
Benches, chairs, lamps & clocks — entry benches with shoe racks, garden and spa benches, chairs, floor lamps, wall clocks and coat racks.
Coffee, dining & side tables, desks — farmhouse and live-edge dining tables, coffee tables, end and bedside tables and desks.
Tree bookshelves, mantels & wine racks — tree, floating and kids’ bookshelves, mantel shelves, bathroom shelves and wine racks.
